HO WAH GENTING BERHAD TO DEVELOP DIGITAL APPLICATIONS WITH E-HAILING AND EV TRACKING SYSTEM
KUALA LUMPUR, 4 MAY 2021 – Ho Wah Genting Berhad (“HWGB” or the “Company”) (Bursa Stock Code: 9601) today announced that its subsidiary, HWGB Blockchain & Digitaltech Sdn Bhd (“HWGB Blockchain & Digitaltech”) entered into an agreement with Shanghai Maicui Information Technology Co., Ltd (“MAICUI IT”) to set out further details on the collaboration which shall supersede the terms of the MOU. On 27 April 2021, HWGB Blockchain & Digitaltech had entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with MAICUI IT to establish a basis of co-operation and collaboration between the companies in relation to a tracking system for purposes such as the electric vehicle charging station, vaccine, e-visa, and others.
The agreement will observe HWGB Blockchain & Digitaltech appoints MAICUI IT to develop the digital applications. MAICUI IT is also responsible for fixing and rectifying any bugs, technicalities, inoperability, and non-functioning of the digital applications.
MAICUI IT will be utilizing its expertise in developing secure applications to develop the digital applications which will have functions such as the tracking of electric vehicle charging station, a community-driven Global Positioning System (GPS) and navigational features and e-hailing function which connects the driver and passengers for transportation purposes.
